We're not your average Day Camp!
Gesstwood Day camp program runs alongside of our overnight camps, giving day campers that traditional summer camp experience but allowing them to go home at the end of each day. Day camp is a great steppingstone to our overnight camp.
Our Camp is located on 62 acres of Carolinian forest, open meadows and a pond and creek making it the perfect location for a camper to explore and engage in nature, where a walk in the woods becomes a fantastical adventure where curiosity and fascination guide a child’s spirit of enchantment, where a stick takes on a thousand magical meanings.
Each day will be filled with activities from our forest school program along with our engaging cooperative games and traditional summer camp activities. Enabling us the opportunity to offer a great mix of experiential education and good old fashion FUN! Campers will explore in nature, through outdoor play, test out their sneakers during sports and yard games, relax and cool off during our daily swim times, express their creativity at our craft cabin, get in tune during our Morning Watch sing song and much more. Day camp offers children the opportunity to build long-lasting friendships while learning valuable life lessons while having a blast.
Campers will have something new to look forward to from week to week as we rotate activities throughout the summer. We look forward to spending some time with you this summer.
